This song got stuck in my head after experiencing Final Mission in theaters a couple weeks back. Awesome experience. Anyway, none of the existing translations came off strong enough. This is a song about righteous anger and solidarity, and it deserves to be told in clear language.
This was mostly done from scratch, though some parts I liked have been taken directly from the official translation in Zettai Live.
This side story was included in the FIRE BOMBER Official Program in Macross 7 book. It takes place sometime between episodes 10 and 11 of the TV series, but includes a lot of flashbacks.

In anticipation of Zettai Live’s home release, here’s an appetizer: chapters 6 through 8 of the Windermere Aerial Knights sidestory manga! JUM already did a fine job of the first volume, so I opted to just finish up the second one. The rest of the chapters are fully translated already, it’s just a matter of getting text inserted at this point. Which will take longer than anticipated seeing as that J-Der side story has newly absorbed my priorities.
These chapters are a prequel and don’t contain major spoilers for the anime series. Yet.
