[Riverpudding] GaoGaiGar Drama CD 1 number.00 ~Birth of a Cyborg~

Thanks to youtube user Riverpudding, the first GaoGaiGar drama CD has now been translated to English and given a very stylish visualization!! You can check it out on youtube here.

This is a prologue to the TV series and doesn’t contain major spoilers.

GaoGaiGar FINAL Drama CDs

Six short drama CDs were released for FINAL. Most of them have a decent sense of humor and are worthwhile. None of them are vital canon. 2 of them are only partially translated because the misogynistic “comedy” didn’t age well.

Betterman CD Scary Stories 2: Greed -nozomi-

The second CD drama for Betterman, in which Papillon debuts. It takes place at various times before, during, and after the show, all connected by a horror plotline. Download here.

Thanks to the original niconico uploader (can’t find a username to credit?), the auctions user who I stole these cover images from, and Ami @pocketslink for timing/light qc.

Due to the lack of a transcript, a scant few lines (<5) are anybody's guess and have been mostly inferenced. Also, since I started this in 2017, you may notice different styles at play.

"What about CD Drama 1?" – Very unlikely that I'll do this one. It's a pretty self-contained horror episode and has no lore implications, besides Ayame showing up.

In the second and final episode of the game, you get to explore a top-secret research facility, try out some never-seen-before weaponry, and get your butt handed to you.

Disclaimer: There is one barely-two-seconds shot of a single scene which has been purposefully removed for being needlessly predatory. Rest assured, you wouldn’t have cared for it anyway, but I prefer to be transparent.

Anyway I am absolutely sick of working on this game, so even if there’s stuff missing or the timing isn’t perfect, this is what you get. Also, there’s like an extra 2-min clip of stuff I missed from the initial run of 14.5, enjoy that too.

Hakaiou ~GaoGaiGar vs Betterman~ Volume 1 number.EX

Multimedia release. The physical edition of the COMIC came with a drama CD and ANOTHER version of Yuusha-Oh Tanjou. Lyrics below. Four out of eight drama tracks are subbed; the rest were already translated and I don’t feel like copy-pasting all that. Except for the all-important reunion.

As of this release, the translation for Hakaiou is switching from “Overlord” to “King of Ruin”. It’s short, punchy, and I don’t have to redo quite so many instances as I would with just destruction. Anyway, this is hopefully more satisfying.

GaoGaiGar BLOCKADED NUMBERS 14.5 Valnar of the Sea

In this expunged episode from the PS1 video game, explore an amusement park, stalk Gai and Mikoto on their date, blow up Zonders, and experience four different endings! Except this is just gameplay footage, so you don’t get to personally interact.

The game tells me I haven’t gotten 100% completion, but all the endings and Gai/Mikoto date moments are there, so that’s what really matters. Also, the timing and editing is very imperfect on this, but I’m sick of it and never want to see this again. If you really hate it, volunteer for 43.2.
